In this monologue she speaks honestly about her opinion of the political situation. She has means to speak her thoughts out loudly (& also thoughts of many Americans).

I think this opinion shows the critical facts of the American Dream. She tells about the many negative aspects of the unfulfillable American Dream.

The American Dream is the the persuit of happiness.

In one hand that America is a such great country & everything is perfect & everyone is proud, etc…               Pink shows the reality. All failed:

Trying to be more freely, democratic & peaceful!

There is just more war & destruction. And how could the Americans be free, if they can´t even decide who they want to love because their president is against homosexualities.

In the other hand, I think, `from rags to riches´ is a part of the persuit of happiness. But how many Americans should get rich…by what? If you don´t have any money in America, you will have a problem. America afford no public hedge like Germany does.

So in America it´s not that easy to get `from rags to riches´ like the American Dream says. So there is no great America with their `great´ American Dream!
